How long do saturn ions last
In my humble opinion, Saturns are no better than any other car. The secret is in their maintenance. Sure you see lots of them with over K, but I saw a Yugo once with K. Do you have idea how well this Saturn was cared for? Some had head gasket issues.
A decent car that has not been abused in some way, and with a pre-purchase checkover, should be good for quite a while. It all depends on how that vehicle was maintened, oil and filter changed very 3, miles, ck for leaks and corrected, if anything went wrong with the car fixed wasit fixed imediately, Can the sellers produce the maitenance records??? I have a Suburban with , miles run like new, no leaks, engine clean.
A dually with , the same. I agree with the other posters. Good luck! Its simply a repair which are part of car ownership. With the type of problems we have had with our 2 year old car with UNDER 50K miles on it… brakes, calipers, torque converter, POOR gas mileage, etc… we are afraid to drive the car as we never know what part is going to fail next! And Saturn has the worst customer service department I have ever dealt with.
Corporate and at dealer level. They are only great when you are there to buy the car… everything changes after you drive off the lot the first time…. Is K too many miles for a used Saturn?
A guy a whole back had one at or so thousand miles when it died. He used it as a mail delivery car. There is no two door ion. Proudly driving one of the last saturns produced before gm killed the brand. Citation84's Photos. I think that was Deliveryman and the car finally gave up the ghost with a cracked block or something. Several years ago as well. Cracked head. Don't even know if the battery needed to be replaced. Originally Posted by saturnion0. My ion 2 is a youngin' at 95K miles. Hopefully the next K miles will be smooth sailing! I also get a squeak coming from the front passenger wheel area at around mph. I know I will need new shocks at some point, and hoping that the engine "rattle" is nothing major. So far still better than my Corolla which at 70K started burning oil..
I do not miss adding oil daily though. Every car has it's weak links- the corolla's it is oil consumption and I understand some of the newer Camrys and corollas have similar issues. Before we purchase it my co-worker had one with over , miles it was about 6 or 7 years old. Jallan answered about a year ago. Nice to see this forum is still going It has k and is still running strong with no major issues. Thanks to the one commenter who posted that his saturn has k; That's certainly encouraging to me.
I just recently switched to using only Mobile 1 High Mileage, 15, mile oil. Seems to keep it running very smoothly. The oil is more expensive, but I get it changed less often than conventional oil I do 10k instead of 15k like is recommended , but I still make sure to check it ever thousand miles just to make sure it's not burning up oil.
So far, so good! I have a ion 4 door with on the odometer. All these questions and answers have gave me great thoughts on mine. As for for one check the blue book.
